BIO

Mike Mondell is a nationally recognized Fixed Operations Consultant, Sales Performance Coach, and Master Facilitator with more than 25 years of experience in automotive consulting. He helps retail automotive dealerships enhance gross profit, implement effective customer retention strategies, strengthen customer loyalty, and maximize fixed operations profitability. With over 50 years of hands-on experience in the retail automotive industry, Mike began his career at age 16 in his family’s dealerships, where he gained a comprehensive understanding of dealership operations from the ground up. Growing up in the business with a father who was both a successful automotive dealer and consultant provided Mike with a unique perspective on dealership leadership, customer service, and fixed operations improvement.  


Mike specializes in fixed operations performance improvement, Service Advisor sales training, Manager training, and executive fixed operations coaching. His training programs emphasize individualized one-on-one coaching aimed at building long-term customer relationships that drive retention and profitability.  


Mike collaborates directly with dealer principals, executive management, service managers, advisors, and technicians to identify operational opportunities and implement practical processes that yield measurable financial results. His hands-on coaching style focuses on enhancing advisor sales and CSI performance, increasing sales per RO, improving effective labor rates, expanding service capacity, and creating consistent customer experiences that elevate CSI scores and foster long-term customer loyalty.  


Throughout his career, Mike has partnered with leading OEM organizations including Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Nissan Motor Company, Hyundai Motor America, Kia, Toyota, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. He provides nationwide classroom instruction, in-dealership coaching, leadership development, and large-group facilitation programs. His expertise covers Service Advisor development, KPI-driven management, customer retention strategies, maintenance menu sales, phone skills training, and fixed operations leadership development.  


Mike is also a graduate of the Disney Institute, Dale Carnegie Training, and a Certified J.D. Power Consultant. These programs have shaped his customer experience philosophy, leadership approach, and communication strategies, which he incorporates into every aspect of his consulting and coaching programs.  


Known for his energetic facilitation style, practical dealership experience, and results-driven coaching methods, Mike is frequently called upon to support dealership performance improvement initiatives and train-the-trainer programs nationwide. His ability to connect with dealership personnel at every level has made him a trusted advisor to dealer groups and OEM leadership teams across the country.  


Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oregon State University and remains committed to helping dealerships build stronger, more profitable fixed operations departments through disciplined execution, leadership development, and performance-focused training.
